Molly Hatchet - Devil’s Canyon
Friday, August 31st, 2007
Once upon a time there was a Southern Rock kind of band called Molly Hatchet. They were a good group of guys turning out solid, decent tunes. You know, the kind of tunes you used to hear and made you just want to get up and move. Along they way, these guys had a fair number of hits and things were going along smooth. Alas, Molly Hatchet ceased to be, and this was a sad day. But! Later, they came back together and put out a nice album called Devil’s Canyon. The album, as a whole, didn’t have a lot going for it…
…except…
An acoustic version of Dreams I’ll Never See. We here at Radio Free David would be completely remiss if we didn’t spin that for you. And so we are. (Of course, Molly Hatchet disbanded not too long after this, but at least we have this version!)
Thanks to Eric for sharing this find with us!
As always,
Enjoy

Every now and then an album comes in that really, and we mean really, grabs our attention. Audra Hardt’s EP did exactly that. We put it our player, and we were completely taken aback from the raw energy and sound of her EP Superficial Superstar. There are only four songs on it (pity, because we wanted more), but we liked them all.
We’ve got a great feeling about
We’re really happy to add some more Margaret’s Daughter into rotation today! They were kind enough to send along their interim album
We’ve got some nice new old music for you today! We’re going back to the early 80’s with The Alarm. The Alarm is part of the early 80’s wave of bands (some of whom we feature, such as The Call, Big Country, and The Waterboys), and, well, they looked the part too on stage. Still, their music is top-notch and well worth a listen. Even though The Alarm disbanded in 1992, their music is still poignant and still rocks.
